Man on the Moon

It was a big thing when we went

But we haven’t really been back since.

So why really did we go?

To slake our thirst for the unknown or to build our own Babel?

Uncharted territories and unknown life forms

Of course we needed to go. Why we need the knowledge can’t you see?

We need to block out the cries of our own earth

It was imperative for the advancement of this sacred race that we ignore the cracked-lipped babes and the dry-boned sons

Separating machete-weilding brothers is not a priority when there are surfaces to be trod

Upon which no man has yet breathed

Those other problems will always be here

Maybe it’s time we went back!
