Shell oil spill from ruptured pipeline in Niger Delta

The oil spill in these video happened some 6 weeks ago and is still flowing. Shell has been told about the spill but has so far done nothing. You can see from the video the extent of the damage to the local community. Pure crude flowing through the land. This is just the latest in hundreds of similar spills over the last 40 years and even when the pipelines are repaired the actual spills remain. Some of the spills are small but with a constant drip drip over the years the impact is equal to these larger spills. Would Shell, Chevron, Elf dare to leave this mess any where else?
