Photographer and performance artist, Zanele Muholi has three new exhibitions which will be showcased on Black Looks over the next few weeks. This is the first time a Black woman from South Africa Zanele is having her work exhibited at the Monash Faculty Gallery. Fellow South Afri can Anthea Moys is also showing her work.
“All i want to ensure that galleries have faces of people like us. The gallery walls are too white and black people are often intimidated by that space. I live to bring about change especially to places that defy us. I penetrate those spaces and live presence of our existence.”
