Harare South to Harare North

Last Saturday I listened to a reading of Harare North by Brian Chikwava [winner of the 2004 Caine Prize] and was hooked after the first sentence. This is bad timing, I have too much to do to be reading novels but I cant help myself and keep snatching 10 minutes here and there to read another page – not really, the words are so crazy, inviting, witty, desolate, wretched, wise – that I end up reading them over and over……. I already feel like I dont ever want it to end……..
